At work we have imacs. and as much as I hate apple, they work better than pretty much every windows machine I've ever worked at.

Too bad Apple costs an arm and a leg, otherwise I'd have thought one.

Hasn't been the most awesome of days (could have been worse, but could have been better too). The staffing situation at work is totally out of control. I even made a joke about it to lighten the mood, then realised how bad taste it was and thought "I'm going to hell". I also learnt this evening that a friend of mine who is all kinds of chronically ill (mostly self-inflicted from her youth) was in hospital with her heart playing up again. She's home now, but still not cool.

We joke about stuff like that all the time at my workplace.

I have no idea what you need to do to yourself in your youth to get heart problems?

Well, I joked that the doctor who called in sick should come to work anyway, spread her germs and have everyone admitted to the medical ward instead of ours. Yep, definitely going to hell for that comment

I have no idea what you need to do to yourself in your youth to get heart problems?

That's just one of many conditions, and probably the most serious. I could name-drop about 8 conditions she lives with (I won't name them though) without thinking too hard about it. I should go to visit her soon, even if she's not super sick.
