New Vintersorg

Hey, just got to mention that I got the new vintersorg today, and it sounds quite good... Any views on the new more technical style of Vintersorg, and does it not sound more like Borknagar?

Yes my friend...so you finally heard it, eh? Actually sounds good to me - Kinda Borknagar-ish, you're right about that. Perhaps the Norse feeling disappears with this new style or what?

It`s more like Vintersorg´s unice sound... besides there are 3 songs in swedish
he hasn´t forgotten his roots & progressed along the way...

The bass lines are great- Steve G. is a master, but i would have liked them to be a bit more up front like in Death or Sadus. The Hammond parts are also great, and the "fade-in" beginning is cool.

woah, steve digiorgio is in vintersorg?? when did that happen? fuck, i didnt even know vintersorg had a new cd, they really keep us in the dark here in the states.

steve did some good bass shit for iced earth... or at least i thought so...

Well, he is listed as a session musician, but plays on all the tracks. And also norwegian drummer Asgeir Mickelson (from Borknagar and Spiral Architect) so it is a very technical album ...for Vintersorg that is! On the cover there's even this stupid sticker saying; featuring Steve Digiorgio from Death/Sadus. I hate that kind of childish advertising.

damn.. i HAVE to hear this, i like spiral architect, and of course borknagar and older vintersorg. cosmic genesis is sweet.. can you get this cd in most metal shops in germany?

I'm sure most Metal Shops with a sence of dignity will have this release in relatively soon - it's become a major band.

Are you sure "dunkla" means shadowy? I think it means:
The Dark (or Gloomy) Alphabet of the Universe! Not 100% Sure though...

thanks nano. i actually thought you were talkin about Borknagar and not Vintersorg. I wanted to check out the new record before the fest. i've found it now......blame my "Confused Mind".

Direct Connect is working nicely.....it's great to be able to pick a swedish hub.....it increases the chances of finding all your great swedish thrash...thanks
