Hello, please take this as a constructive criticism even if my tones could result to be a little irritated as it happened to me and my friend to be stopped at the gates in two very disappointing ways.
My friend was stopped for a sun screen (initially accepted for the first day, mysteriously not the second). After some discussion and frankly the sense that there was not a clear explanation for rejecting it ( size? Liquid? Nobody was able to tell us), we found a solution writing to management as my friend needs a dermatological dedicated one for her skin.
This evening me: this afternoon, around 3pm I received a drum stick from a band and I remained in the stage (Harder and Faster) area for all the evening. Till 8.30pm when I needed some info and I approached a security guy at one of the exits that kindly gave me the info and redirected me to the gates for re-entering, where they refused to let me in because of the stick, not listening to reasons. I tried to explain that this made no sense as I was JUST got out from the next door, but no way. Why ask me to go back to security? I do not blame the guy that told me so as evidently did not expect this to be an issue as it was CLEAR that I just got out.
Well, a lot of anxiety and km in the first case, most of a performance lost in the second, not a big issue, but my feedback is about the lack of consistency and flexibility. Furthermore, the fact that it's implied that everyone knows items allowed or not. We couldn't find any info about this topic.
Maybe it's an implicit knowledge in Germany, but I would like to remind you that this should be an international festival.
