Coincidentally, Hoth (Höðr) was also the blind brother of Baldr, who is tricked by Loki into killing Baldr with an arrow made of mistletoe, in Norse mythology. Although this reference was not their original intention behind choosing the name, the band has acknowledged this connection as fitting for their themes. (-Metal-Archives)
