"They released their debut-album "Raging Violence" in 1985. To hear was/is fast, heavy Speedcore for that time. In other words: a mixture of Thrash Metal and Punk. Today, the album sounds a little bit antique-like, but who cares, this record is just for old Metalheads and Punks, in any case. 14 attacks of the auditory canals, simply-structured and thrashed, including "Bombs Of Death", which was also on the 6th "Metal Massacre" sampler and was covered by RYKERS. The CD is also including the "Hate, Fear And Power"-EP, which leads into the same direction, but it's better produced. The vocals of Katon W. De Pena are very extreme. But this makes this record so unique. Everybody, who likes D.R.I with their records "Crossover"/"Four Of A Kind" and D.B.C. (DEAD BRAIN CELLS) with a screeching vocalist, should try to get this rare CD.

Released by Roadrunner in 1984 (THE year of heavy metal), US metal band Maltese Falcon play lean and mean power-thrash in the same vein as Hexx, Bloodlust, and the occasional Exciter. The band takes to the streets with plenty of thrills, including the fast pacers "Heavy 'N Loud", "Headbanger", and "Rebellion". "Metal Rush" was a down and dirty rock machine, with fast riffs, over the top wails, and a decent production job. Unfortunately "Metal Rush" was the only Maltese Falcon album, making the record even harder to find. This is the reissue from Old Metal Records.
