Not reliable enough. Last time we were there we didn't find enough places that had a good connection and the hotel ones sucked also, so even though we had a phone we were still effectively "cut off".

Ah too bad.

I'll almost definitely be getting data for my phone while I'm there. There are tons of travel apps, plus internet = researching what to do, where to go, where to eat etc on the go. Also makes long train rides more interesting. :D

On my first trip I just went to some shop in Hamburg airport and bought prepaid. They also set it up so I didn't have to figure out how to activate it. Simple. I think it was 20€ or something like that.

'kay, I'm not familiar with that sector. :D Ever tried at one of the shipyards? Could be that they appreciate the language advantages, and usually shipyards also tend to take foreign people into account. Also the salary is reasonable.

I'm going to get an e-reader for those. I brought books last time but I just don't have the space - I'd rather bring back souvenirs. As it is we'll just be bringing the bare minimum and doing laundry often.

I have checked some so far and there are some finnish companies too but I just have to find a way to find them all. I just got here so only getting started with this. When I still lived in Finland I noticed that it's almost impossible to get a job from here before living here :)

Alright. I'm starting to figure out the first semi-concrete plans for my post-college Europe trip.

2015-2016:
Hellfest
Tuska
Dong
Wacken
Metalcamp

:D

I'll just hope none of them clash. :p

Dong and Metalcamp are basically required. Wacken is an almost definitely. Then I'd really like to do Tuska, and then Hellfest to finish it off. Or I might replace Hellfest with Graspop.

You guys should all make 2015 or 2016, whichever it ends up being, your return to Wacken. :D Forget the bands if you want, we'll just hang out.

Actually, I'll try to organize some sort of international forum meeting (Germans welcome) somewhere in Germany around then. May be easier than convincing you all to spend 130 euro or whatever it is now. :p
