I remember being stuck in traffic for 8 horus while on the way to EMM

Especially since in NL (where I come from), it's not the habbit to give presents. We do that with the St. Nicolas, which is today (in BE, it was yesterday in NL)

Same sort of thing I'm guessing. Originally meant as a time to spend with family and close friends, maybe share a nice meal and just enjoy company or celebrate some religious event (if that's your thing) but now all those holidays are nothing but ways to make money.

Do you know that in the USA the 'biggest shopping day of the year' (called "black Friday") which is supposed to be the Friday after US Thanksgiving actually was moved forward to Thursday- ON THANKSGIVING... The whole 2 months after Halloween all you see in the stores is Christmas things..it's sick.

Let's say we were happy not to park there for about a week until they could hire a crew to remove the snow and reinforce the structures.
