I did have travel insurance, hence the nice cheque in the mail. What I didn't realise (until the nurses told me) was since it was a relatively small bill (considering), I was in and out in a pretty short amount of time and I didn't have European medical insurance (or something like that) I had to pay the whole lot up front then contact the insurance company later, jump through a few hoops then hope for the best. Must say it was (excuse the pun) a hard pill to swallow at the time since I had been under enough stress since leaving Bloodstock as it was without having to deal with all of that in a foreign country by myself.
