Can someone explain why I am still laughing at this?

So a boy really likes this girl and wants to ask her to the prom.
He finally builds up the courage and is glad to hear that she accepts.

So during the week before the prom he decides to fancy things up a bit to get ready for his date.
He goes to the tuxedo shop and notices all the rest of the boys from his school are waiting in a line to get a tux, so he waits and waits, patiently, in the tux line.


He figures he would want to smell nice for his lady so he then goes to the perfume shop to get some cologne.
Again, there is a huge line so he decides to wait patiently in the cologne line and finally gets what he was after.

And on the day of the prom he wants to get his woman some flowers. So he heads to the florist and again, there is a huge line.
So he waits and waits patiently and finally gets a lovely bouquet of flowers for his lady.

So later in the evening he's at the prom with his tux and his cologne and his date is adoring the flowers. Things are going so well and he wants to treat her like a princess so he asks her if she was thirsty and wants some punch.
She accepts and he heads over to the punch where he finds there is no punchline.
