Can I tell you all what I had to do during last 3 days? I am sure you all would be really interested (not)

Few years ago my co-workers (all guys) told me to use one of those all the time so they would see me not just hear me walking around. We had cubicles and they couldn't see me behind those "walls". Like it was my fault I'm short![]()

I will tell you anyway
There is competition and I had to handle all registrations and make lists that can be used for various things.
I got about 300 emails with too much or not enough information or often both. Some printed and some not, some both. From those I had to figure out what kind of package they want, which events they want, their name and club etc and then put all that information to my database (which I did several years ago just to make things esier for myself).
Then I got word document with 5000 lines and the format of it was so awfull that it all had to be rewritten to my database. Eventually it was about 2000 registrations.
Then I got 3 text files with nice format so those I could easily modify but also had to make some modifications and replace some data with other etc.
Now I finally got all data and out of 1900 participants and 5000 events I found about 50 dublicates or missing some information and all I can do is wait for others to find that information somewhere before I can do the rest of this really nice thing (please, next year remind me not to do this no matter what).
If someone actually read all this I'll give you a hug
*hug*

I have to add that even if other people on track and field like nice word documents with nice look etc., I hate them! I like nice text files with comma separated fields

I don't get why anybody would use a word doc for this purpose...

Because they think everything just should look nice and be easy to read and they have no idea what to do with those nice text files that can be exported and within few minutes changed to look nice the way they want![]()
