I believe I'm getting somewhere at work. I'm unreasonably excited about it too! Anyway there's a program that I use and without the doctors' and my access to it my job is for the greater part useless. The last guy who took care of the program was a useless...well...tits on a bull right. It got to the point where I had all kinds of management involved followed by giving up on it because I didn't want to have to deal with it. Anyway a new lady started there last week. I gave her a call about a problem that's been there since October but no-one had been out to fix it, she asked me where I was and in 30 minutes she actually came to my office! I asked her more questions while she was there and turns out the other guy was talking porky-pies to get out of doing more work.
Next step will be to convince the business manager that it's cheaper to buy several $400-and-something speech microphones than it is to pay consultants overtime just so they can get their paperwork done. I'll see how I go.
