btw, there's a part in Germany where they commonly talk about females as 'it' It's also common to call them 'it' when they are around or to call them by name, even if you talk to them. LIke you'd ask Kris: Geht das Kris in den Laden? Kann es Milch mitbringen?

trans. Is the (the as synonym for 'das') Kris going to the store? Can it get some milk then?
