My mom had the flu terribly for the past few days. Today she is better, and nobody else got it...very strange.

I don't think you will get it again. The logic is, I think, that it's the same strain that you had 3 weeks ago, and thus your body has built up its immune defenses against it...

Yeah that was what I thought as well, and as for the flu shot, I have not gotten one, I wonder if it would have made any difference.
