and the big metal thingy that slided at the rope fell on my head

she was maybe one or two years old, and my mom was at the top of the stairs telling me to come up to do something... my sister was on the floor beside her, and I guess she slipped or something
but yea, she was coming down pretty hard and fast... and the stairs are completely wood... leading to a cement ground at the bottom... sooo I was lucky enough to catch her not far from the top

yea, my mum actually broke her neck twice when she fell down plus 5 vertebrae in her back and her arm multiple times. She was in hospital for about a year. Being in koma first. She needed to lie for many months and afterwards needed to learn walking again and such. She's actually lucky not to be in a wheelchair nowadays
