Many of you won't even consider The Who a metal band, but damn, the albums I've heard are pretty good, and this guy was an active part of those albums.... I really mourn the loss of such a musical legend......

I read he was the first who played a Marshall amp on stage. And if you listen to records like Live in Leeds you know that they did a lot for creating hard music however you call it.

Yes, gotta join this one, one of the early "real" bassplayers!
The who was a great band, Tommy, Who's next, and Quadrophenia are all exelent albums.
