Right, there are 10 people I know of going this route. By the time we get into Esbjerg there will be no public transport available to get us to Itzahoe that night.

Rather than stay the night in Esbjerg (shithole, I hear) & get a train early the next morning, I had the idea to hire a minibus & driver to pick us up at the airport & bring us directly to Wacken. I got a quote of €500 for the trip (one way) or €900 (return) on a 17 seater. It's a lot less complicated & would probably work out cheaper in the long run. We'd be in Wacken before 11pm.

Anyone else travelling this route July 31st & interested in taking this mode of linear transportation ('twould work out cheaper for everyone if we had some more takers)?

BTW, we're coming back Sunday the 4th.

Curious, eh?

Esbjerg is in south west Denmark. It's about a 3 hour drive from Itzahoe. RyanAir fly there very cheap from London (if you booked early enough). It's much more expensive to fly to Hamburg or Lubeck.
