DIMMU BORGIR have added Asgeir Mickelson (BORKNAGAR and SPIRAL ARCHITECT) to fill in as session drummer for their upcoming live appearances.
About the recent split, Barker commented to BW&BK: "We had such a good thing going and wow! It was a total shock. The only way I can describe it is being happily married for five years and then one day your partner comes home and says, 'I'm leaving' or 'Get out.' That's basically how it felt. I really am sorry that this had to happen but hey, shit happens and life goes on. It's a little sad that we didn't get to say a final goodbye and see you at Ozzfest. But I'm not bitter about anything. I totally understand and respect where those guys are coming from - they're thinking of the band. If Dimmu Borgir was my band, I would have the same kind of attitude and vision. You've got to do what's best for the band. If they think getting another drummer is what they need then all the best to them. I just hope they find a guy who can play the shit the way it's supposed to be played. From my point of view, the musician's side, I hope they find a worthy replacement otherwise I shall be pissed."
