Can anyone help me? My friends and I are flying into Hamburg airport on Wednesday morning, and from looking around here we can't make head or tail of whether there is a bus that goes from the airport to Wacken. We got a taxi last year but we really don't want to do that this time if there is an alternative. Any information would be appreciated.

you need to go to Hamburg main station (there is a shuttle bus service) then from the main station to Itzehoe by train.
in Itzehoe you can use the special W:O:A shuttle service to Wacken
*click the "Journey" link on the left* for W.O.A shuttle times

a taxi from Hamburg station to Wacken ? wow that must have been expensive

Better you take Bus Nr. 52 to the Railstation Hamburg-Altona, and then go by train to Itzehoe, where the Shuttel Bus to Wacken is waiting for you!

When you go to Hamburg Main Station, you although have to go over the The Station Hamburg-Altona!
