KREATOR: Seit ihrer Gründung in den frühen 1980ern haben KREATOR nicht nur im Speed/Thrash Metal stets Grenzen ausgelotet, sondern auch unzählige Bands in anderen Extreme-Metal-Genres beeinflusst. Mit legendären Alben wie »Endless Pain«, »Pleasure To Kill« und »Extreme Aggression« im Gepäck ist die Band hauptverantwortlich dafür, dass Deutschland in der extremen Musik überhaupt eine Rolle spielt. Anders als andere Künstler des Genres haben es KREATOR immer geschafft, ihren Status beizubehalten, auch während der schwierigen 1990er Jahre, in denen Grunge die Musikwelt dominierte. Seit den 2000er haben KREATOR sowohl ihren eigenen Sound als auch den Thrash Metal selbst auf die nächste Stufe gebracht - durch die Veröffentlichung solcher modernen Klassiker wie »Violent Revolution«, »Enemy Of God«, »Hordes Of Chaos« und zuletzte »Phantom Antichrist«. Fans wie Kritiker sind gespannt darauf, was sich KREATOR für ihr nächstes, 14. Album ausgedacht haben.

SEPULTURA: Was gibt es über SEPULTURA zu sagen, das nicht bereits gesagt worden ist? Der außergewöhnliche Gitarrist Andreas Kisser und seine Gang von Extreme-Metal-Verrückten können sich nun bereits seit über 32 Jahren in der Szene behaupten. Seien es die frühen ikonischen Werke wie »Beneath The Remains« und »Arise«, die großen Charterfolge wie »Chaos A.D.« und »Roots« oder moderne Extreme-Metal-Meilensteine wie »A-lex« oder »The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart«, SEPULTURA haben stets gezeigt, wie vielschichtig und relevant sie immer waren und es heute noch sind. Mit brandneuen Songs in der Mache wird die Band auf den bevorstehenden Shows eine neue Art Chaos auf der Bühne entfesseln.

SOILWORK: Keine andere europäische Band war für den modernen extremen Metal so einflussreich wie diese Schweden. SOILWORK haben den Melodic Death Metal bereits am Tag ihrer Gründung revolutioniert, indem sie klaren Gesang hinzufügten, eine fortschrittliche Art, zu denken an den Tag legten, mit progressiven Elementen und lächerlich großartiger Gitarrenarbeit. Über die Jahre hat sich die band in etwas so bemerkenswert einzigartiges entwickelt und Blaupausen für einen modernen Sound geliefert, die andere Bands nur zu gerne annehmen. What the future holds for the separate parties remains undetermined but the name Agalloch has been permanently laid to rest. We collectively thank all of our fans across the world. There are also way too many other people to thank who made this band possible. You know who you are.

Dear Everyone,

Usually statements like these open with expressions of gratitude for the fans, friends, colleagues, and people we’ve worked with. There is a sort of form to the break-up letter that long-running bands produce: “thanks everyone that has supported us over the years, bought our records, came to our shows,” and so forth. Then the apologies arrive from fans, friends, and family members: “we’re so sorry to hear this. We hope you are ok.” But, I can’t start like that—it seems too mechanical. I can’t start that way because it is I who should apologize to all of you.

I am sorry you won’t ever hear new music from Agalloch. I am sorry our fans in Latin America, China, Russia, Japan, Australia, will never see us play. I’m sorry I won’t personally meet many of you after a show and talk about music, movies, school, and share a shot of bourbon. I’m really, really sorry because I had every intention of continuing.

This was not my decision.

I did not want this.

I still maintain it was not necessary.

I’m sorry it had to be this way. I am personally devastated and have not felt this level of grief since my father passed away ten years ago. So, if you are sad, upset, pissed, or bitter—I share these feelings with you. I know Agalloch deeply touched a lot of people. And I honor that by grieving in solidarity with all of you. Agalloch was an incalculable part of my identity and I’ll be walking as half a man for some time now.

I want to thank many people. I am terrified of forgetting anyone as my mind isn’t all that clear today. So, for now, I really want to thank the fans from the bottom of my heart. My favorite activity was meeting all of you after a gig, or before a gig. The spiritual connection you and I shared during a show was the closest I, an atheist, have ever felt to God. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You might think our music helped you through the dark times in your lives, but all along you were helping me avoid the darkness.

Darüber hinaus lässt Neige folgendes über das kommende Alcest-Album verlauten:

"For the past 3 months we have been recording our new album, and right now we are doing small adjustments on the mix. It's coming to an end of a very long journey (the longest studio experienced we had so far) and we feel quite exhausted, but really happy. For each album we try to challenge ourselves, developing the songs in new directions. This time will be just as special, but also a come back to the approach we had in our earlier albums, with intense songs full of contrasts and dynamics. Even if this album is quite "alien" and characteristic, we felt the need to come back to the origins of the project. The release date is planned for Autumn 2016 and then we will go on a 37 dates co-headline tour with the Japanese band MONO. We are very much looking forward to this tour and to show you the work of our last couple of years."
