Before next Wacken I'm going to get more in tune with German metal. Here's a list of bands I know and love:

Of these, I'd say Rage, Running Wild and Endstille (the early albums in particular).
The last two names in your list sound pretty dumb - however, I am not familiar with their music.

Running Wild, Lunar Aurora and Mekong Delta should be priorities, imo. Mekong Delta is definitely one of the most underrated thrash bands around.

Other bands: I second Varg, Tankard and Desaster. I'd add:

Onkel Tom

Imperium Dekadenz

Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult

Haggard

Empyrium - both doom albums (A Wintersunset is the best imo) and folk/acoustic albums (especially Where At Night the Grouse Plays)

Riger

Ahab

Secrets of the Moon (if you are in the position to see them live. They're better live than on cd. On cd they're ok but nothing extremely special)

In Extremo (not metal as much as medieval themed hard rock, but still can be fun, especially live)
