    Receiving tickets

    My ticket came today but I ordered only a couple of weeks ago. On the subject of tickets, I'm not sure having a blank box for you to write your own name, is the best way to "personalise" tickets and prevent touts..

    The new W.E.T and Headbanger´s Stage – Something big is coming up!

    The WET stage has needed improving for years so looking forward to this. Just hope its not too far from the main festival area.

    Provisional Running Order is online

    Please fix what looks like Warbringer clashing with either Overkill or Sacred Reich. Also if Napalm Death don't clash with Paradise Lost, that would be nice too.

    Provisional Running Order will be released on Sunday

    Will certainly be good to see what bands I can attempt to see. More so as its my only festival of the year. Gonna make an effort to see more bands than the usual ten or so I've managed in the last few years.

    My excitement is somewhat tempered this year by other stuff I have going on. Still come next Monday, I can forget all about it for a week and enjoy my favourite week of the year.

    Only time I went to the Ballroom, it was by the docks. Passed it on the Reeperbahn last year but didn't go. MAY pop in for the Sunday afterparty this year. Will see.

    We always use it as a starting off point as its near our hotel. Its a dive for sure but its decen enough for a few beers beofre heading off to Nightlight.

    Will be in Hamburg o the Tuesday and Sunday. Will probably be in...well outside of Nightlight on both days as well as in Der Clochard. May even check out Three Monkeys this year..

    THE (semi) DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO GETTING TO WACKEN

    I'm guessing as the queues ar so long on the Sunday, they don't bother checking everyones tickets and let you straight on. I normally get a taxi with a few mates back to Itzehoe or Hamburg instead to avoid the stupidly long queues.

    I always go to Hamburg the Tuesday prior to the festival and the Sunday, the day after. I'll be doing the same this year. We normally go to Nighlight and Der Clochard. Keep meaning to check out the Three Monkeys but have never got round to it. And of course, theres also the (Headbangers)...

    I usually get a flight on the Tuesday but then I stop in Hamburg for the day. Which kinda goes against the point of iit being chepaer but hell, its an integral part of my Wacken experience.
