Das waren aber nicht die offiziellen Ticketzahlen,sondern die Teilnehmer zahlen.Offizielle Ticketzahlen siehe wikipedia
Achso. Was is in den Teilnehmerzahlen noch drin? Anwohner? Presse? Personal des Veranstalters? Händler? "Schwarzbesucher" ohne Ticket?

90% der Bands die spielen KÖNNEN in 2009 stehen fest, Sagen wir dass das 1000 Bands sind. (nur als Beispiel)
Daraus sollen die Orgas denn 70 à 80 Bands wählen. Und tja...

Verständlich. Aber ich hatte die Aussage halt so interpretiert, dass sie quasi schon zu 90% wissen, wer nächstes Jahr spielen wird. Deshalb hatte ich mich gewundert, warum dann die Bestätigungen erst so zögerlich kommen. Aber wenn man die Aussage so interpretiert, wie Quark, dann macht das natürlich mehr Sinn.

Well, they want to get bigger and bigger. So you can expect that 09 will be more overcrowded then 08. You´d better bring a spyglass to see something from the end of the crowd or get crushed in the frontlines. Sad but true...

i see why so many fan have turned there bacl to the festival, i regret that i lost the best wacken years.. would say between 2000 and 2005?

Between 1997 (or before, I dunno, couldn't be there yet) and 2004, I would say. 2006 and 2007 were also really good, I must admit. And 2008 as well!
But until 2002 it was the best time, yeah.

Well, 2005 sucked because of the shitty weather..:
But I agree, although 2007 and 2008 were also great, even if it was FULL!1997/'98... I still remember the days.. 10-15k people... LOTS of space on the area before the stages, you could sit on the gras (or hay) in the first rows without being trampled on when the bands were playin and overall it was way more comfy there. *sigh*

Ich weiß sowieso nicht ob ich 2009 Zeit haben werde. Oder erst kurzfristig. Schon von daher kann ich mich nicht für VOM melden.

2007 was a great billing. In my opinion the 2008 billing wasn't anything special at all, except for Iron Maiden. There were quite some interesting bands there, but it wasn't enough to make me travel more than 800 kilometers by train.
