Nah, they're German...but I've noticed Germans and Scandinavians of all countries have that problem. 
Running Wild's notorious for that...saying "wery", "willage", "awoided", etc. Even pronouncing "dragon" so that it rhymes with "raygun", hahaha.
A lady who used to run their fan club told me once that she used to constantly correct their singer on his pronunciation in the studio...and he'd STILL flipflop v's and w's. Old habits die hard, I guess.

maybe they got confused because in German the w is pronounced 'v' and the v pronounced 'f'
