So...unfortunately it is true that Alexander is no longer part of the Hatecrew, and we just wanted to make the point clear that there is absolutely no bad blood between us, what so ever. We really try not to make a big deal out of this, and since it`s not our place to talk about Alexander`s personal affairs, we have to be brief about this. Alexander realized he couldn`t take this constant touring life anymore and felt that he was holding us back by not enjoy doing this anymore and that it was better for him to bail out than not giving the whole 100% and making himself unhappy. His exact words to me were ”It`s not fair to me, to you, or to our fans to pull an act in front of you all and just do it for money” We understand that some of you might feel that it`s not COB without him, and it is true that he was a huge part of us just like every other member, but we hope that YOU understand that this has not been easy for us, but, god damn, we will carry on with a new guy(which we`ll let you know about later),cuz after all, the fact is:
CHILDREN OF BODOM AIN`T READY TO FUCKING DIE YET!

Ich habe aus Finnland munkeln hören, dass Rope von...oh man jetzt hab ich die Band vergessen - shit... naja, das Rope für ihn einspringt!

Kennt ihr ne bekannte Finnische Band mit nem Rope, oh man es fällt mir bestimmt gleich wieder ein. Aber ich bin heute ein wenig Matsch, hatte ne hardcore LK Klausur heute.

whops dachte das wäre ganz aktuell jetz weils auf der COB Homepage noch nicht steht und hier im Forum auch nicht.....
Nja aber war/ist der Alexander nicht der dicke (fette) Gitarrist? War mit Abstand der sympatischste aus der Band.....ganz im Gegenteil zum Sänger "Wildchild" allein der Name schon....und dieses ewige fuck fuck fuckifuck...bah!!!!

CHILDREN OF BODOM Part Ways With Guitarist - July 14, 2003

Rhythm guitarist Alexander "Aku" Kuoppala has left CHILDREN OF BODOM following the band's appearance at last weekend's Tuska festival in Helsinki, Finland. Alexander's departure was mutually agreed upon by all parties, and the remaining members wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors. No appearances are being cancelled or rescheduled as a result of Aku's departure. Click here to see a photo of Alexander and the rest of CHILDREN OF BODOM taken shortly after their Tuska performance.

CHILDREN OF BODOM will announce a replacement for Kuoppala prior to the group's next live appearance, which is scheduled to take place on August 16 in Moscow, Russia.

As previously reported, CHILDREN OF BODOM's latest CD, "Hate Crew Deathroll", will receive its long-overdue U.S. release on September 23 through Century Media Records. The group will team up with DIMMU BORGIR, NEVERMORE and HYPOCRISY for a North American tour in November.
