Anyone planning to barbecue at Wacken? BBQ regulations for campsites seem pretty self-explanatory, mainly use common sense and don't be a moron. For those of you planning to grill, what's on the menu? ==================================================== Recipes I've been looking at: California Burger: 1/3 lbs ground beef 1/2 sliced avocado toasted wheat bun 1 slice "Pepper Jack" cheese (also works with Monty Jack or Swiss) ketchup spicy mustard/dijon Maui Burger(AKA Hawaiian/Big Kahuna): 1/3 lbs ground beef 4 bacon strips 2 pineapple slices toasted rye bun 1 slice Chedder cheese ketchup Western Burger: 1/3 lbs ground beef grilled onions toasted wheat bun 1 slice Chedder cheese BBQ sauce Baron Burger: 1/3 lbs ground beef 4 bacon strips sauerkraut toasted rye bun 1 slice Chedder cheese spicy mustard/dijon Southern Chicken Marinade: 1 bottle BBQ sauce 1/2 chopped onion 1/4 cup minced garlic Cayenne Pepper salt/black pepper 1/4 cup olive oil Chicken needs to marinate for at least 30 minutes. Use either tupperware or a plastic ziplock bag. Spread chicken out across the grill. Turn constantly while cooking to ensure chicken cooks evenly. This usually takes 20 minutes. Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers: 1 bag fresh jalapenos 1 tub cream cheese 1 bacon strip per jalapeno Slice open jalapeno, stuff with cream cheese before wrapping with bacon. Keep a close eye on them as they cook 'cause these suckers cook FAST! Wait at least 5 minutes before serving to avoid "lava mouth." ==================================================== I'm thinking maybe some potatoes, asparagus and some bratwurst as well. But I'm interested to see what others were planning on. Of course, all the recipes I posted go great with cold BEER!!
