As to censorship, yeah German TV companies piss off a lot of movie prioducers because they cut the movies up so badly to air in PrimeTime that a lot of producers and directors dont even want their names mentioned in connection with them any more. There was a big bruhaha about this in the press one or two years ago (didnt get anywhere unfortunately). But hey AT LEAST you can get french soft porn movies on tv!!! Hell I even remember one time seeing the "story of O" on a non encrypted channel. Honestly if I have to choose I would rather have my kid see sex than violence. (Not that I like my movies cut). Even though with this whole harmonizing of EU laws things have gotten a bit more prudish in tv.......damn religious buggers are making laws all over the place I guess. (And these are the one who allow their children to read books about torture and punishment but refuse to educate them about evolution and "safer sex").
