Camping Dates
we turned up tuesday morning with no car and walked straight onto the camping field with no problems and no extra charge. we were the first there but i don't know if that's cos it had only just open or no one else wanted to sit in an empty field for a few days. -

speaking as a stupid english person who doesn't understand a word of german, the elmshorn route is far less confussing. the altona one involved the underground which confussed the hell out of me and got us horribly lost. -

I found it confusing at first cos it is in very strange English, I didn’t realise there was 2 airports in Hamburg, I didn’t know Bahnhof meant trainstation, I didn’t know what an S-Bahn was, and that’s when confusion set it! I’m sure all this is probably all been said a million times before... -

random strange question...does anyone know how big the wacken site (camping and main areana) actually is? we're thinking of investing in walkie talkies for when we lost eachother cos english mobiles cost a fortune to use in germany, but we don't know what range our walkie talkies will need to... -

so here's the deal. I'm from england, i'm going to be flying out to amsterdam for a few days, then getting the train from there to wacken. i've been told that booking the train early will save me money, but i can't find how to do this, does anyone know? the eurorail website is telling me to buy...
