New band confirmed: Coheed and Cambria

Are you serious? The line up looks damn good, I'm wishing I was going now. I really like Coheed, but they shouldn't be at Wacken at all. As for the bands you've listed, like MetalViking said, bar Maiden, those are the kinds of bands who SHOULDN'T be there (yet somehow get slots anyway). If...

    Gwar greet Wacken

Yeah.. but I've seen GWAR twice, there's a few bands at Hellfest I'd love to see who I haven't seen before (Ahem, MANOFUCKINGWAR). Plus, GWAR are meant to be touring the UK next year, no?

    Gwar greet Wacken

Or like I said before, possibly both! It's looking like Hellfest for definate at the moment though.. As I said, if Wacken book Manowar then that's settled, but looking at the Hellfest line up there's a LOT more that's catching my eye (The Misfits, Mad Sin, Manowar, Stratovarius (minus...

"BE THERE OR DON'T!!" Haha. Oh I love GWAR :D

Finally! Bullet for my Valentine in Wacken!

There was a few at 07 too. But seriously guys, this isn't the end of the world, and all the bitching in the world can't undo it. I'm not happy to see them on the bill, but there's so many bands at Wacken that it'll be easy to miss them! Usually there's someone on the Party Stage at the same...

GWAR in Wacken for the first time!!!

    My belly fizzed.

Finally! Bullet for my Valentine in Wacken!

Yes but Wacken has GWAR!! And no matter how many cock bands like this play, the decent bands draw in decent people and the atmosphere is still immense.

Finally! Bullet for my Valentine in Wacken!

See, last year was going to be my last. Then they went and announced GWAR this year. Now this?!?! Didn't they learn from the death threats last year...? Meh, I'll still probably go.. That's the plan, Batman!

New band confirmed - Stone Gods

I was aiming to watch Exodus but found myself listening from the Beer Garden instead :P Sounded good though!

New band confirmed - Stone Gods

My (brief) review of The Stone Gods, Wacken 2008.. The band that played on Saturday morning were a great hard rock act, perfect for drinking away your last €20 to. However, it seems that they weren't The Stone Gods. Which lightened the mood even more :D

New band confirmed - Stone Gods

That is actually my plan for their set, in fact I think I may have looked up a new band just so I can avoid them. They are standing in for another band, Axel Rudi Pell, who many people wanted to see (a band that most people would rather see than The Stone Gods). I am one of those who wanted to...

New band confirmed - Stone Gods

Agreed! Especially as they're taking Axel Rudi Pell's slot - who are waaaaaay more popular with the Wacken audience than The Stone Gods are (and The Darkness ever were!). Street team bloke - it's quite understandable that you've been met with criticism over your band's addition. Us paying...

So you want a slightly biased review? Why not do it yourself?

New band confirmed - Stone Gods

Agreed. While they're at it, stick Hatebreed on the Party Stage where they belong?

New band confirmed - Stone Gods

I disagree partly.. I always thought Justin Hawkins was an aggravating twat :D However he is like a pizza topping. That topping being anchovies. Smelly and salty tasting.. (I could be way off, I've never had anchovies.. or Justin Hawkins..) But still, to say this is replacement is an epic...
