Obviously. I mean how are things generally any different. Like everyday life etc.

Well over here not to different fortunately, it's not an absoluut monarchy or anything.
But they don't pay taxes and have billions of euro's. besides that they get a salary form the state (like they aren't richt enough).
And the state pays for their palaces and stuff like boats and cars and all that.

Yeah but I meant more like how regular citizens life is any different. So that's why it doesn't really matter to me.

Yeah but I don't really know what's the difference between a monarchy and a republic. Like in the big picture
Well, look at Scandinavia and Finland. That's the difference. ;)

Er, and a president is free of charge? I don't think so. S/He needs to be paid, has to be housed, has to represent the country and so on. And most times, it's someone from the "we know you" clique. You can just confirm it in an election, if you are allowed to vote for it. (Germany has no election for the president, he is elected by parliament)
Well, not that much really.
Except you can't say some stuff, like, fuck the king.
Apparently we can!
But formally the king cannot defend himself. Because, unlike us, he has NO freedom of speech.

No a president isn't free, but at least a president doesn't get things for free because (s)he has the right parents, but because he was elected!

And no we can not. I know somebody who got arrested for it.
After a lot of media attention the police tried to get out of the whole situation by offering him to "just" give him a fine of 500 euro.
He declined and wanted to bring it to court. it was only then when the charges where dropped. and it was only because of the bad publicity, not because it's not illegal.

I saw the whole thing. I know what happened.

And all drugs are illegal as well.
